Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti, observed annually on May 7th, commemorates the birth anniversary of the renowned poet, writer, philosopher, and Nobel laureate, Rabindranath Tagore.

World Red Cross Day, celebrated annually on May 8th, honors the humanitarian work of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, particularly the volunteers and staff who risk their lives to help others. It also commemorates the birth of Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross.
